Catchment area for the school

St Matthew’s RC Primary School has served the Parish of St Matthew’s Catholic Church, York Avenue, Jarrow since 1954. The Rev Fr Peter Martin is the Parish Priest in residence at St Matthew’s Church. A detailed map of the parish boundary is available from school and is an integral part of our Admissions Policy each year. We are a single form entry primary school without a nursery, so provision is from 4 years old (Reception Class) to 11 years old (Year 6).
